EUA Webinar: “Latest developments in academic recognition”

This webinar will present the work of recent European projects that EUA has contributed to on recognition such as EAR-HEI, STREAM and FAIR, and will discuss the role of universities in the recognition process and the challenges they encounter.

,

24 February 2016

  • Recognition of academic qualifications is an essential step towards fulfilment of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), as well as a necessary condition for the successful academic mobility of students. With the ratification of the Lisbon Recognition Convention (1997), most EHEA countries officially committed to align their recognition processes to the principles agreed in the Convention. Most recently the Ministerial meeting in May 2015 in Yerevan, Armenia, took note of considerable progress having been made, but found that obstacles still exist.

This webinar will present the work of recent European projects that EUA has contributed to on recognition such as
EAR-HEI, STREAM and FAIR, and will discuss the role of universities in the recognition process and the challenges they encounter.

A detailed programme will be published soon. The webinar is aimed at admissions, credential and international officers working in universities and those in charge of formulating institutional strategies on related matters.
The webinar will take place on 24 February at 14.00 (CET).
