Workshop: University Autonomy in Europe - Trends, Benefits, Challenges and Threats

The European University Association (EUA), Universities UK (UUK) and the University of Leicester are organising a workshop to debate the issue of University Autonomy.

Hosted by University of Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom

23 - 24 April 2018

  • The two-day workshop will gather over 20 speakers from across Europe to debate the issue of University Autonomy.  We will compare levels of autonomy across Europe; encourage a lively debate about the importance of autonomy to University success; reflect on some of the threats to autonomy and their impacts; consider the role of policy makers in shaping university autonomy; and identify some clear recommendations based on our discussions.

The cost of attending the meeting is £110 (or Euro equivalent) per person, which includes both lunches, and dinner on the first day.  For those of you wishing to book accommodation at the College Court Conference Centre, special conference delegate rates have been secured: £75.00 (or Euro equivalent) per person bed and breakfast based on single occupancy when you quote reference: 44344.

Places are limited, so if you would like to attend, click here to register as soon as possible.
