Block reservations for participants and accompanying guests have been arranged at special rates in the hotels listed below, which are easy to reach from the meeting venue.

We advise all delegates to book their hotels by following the indications provided for the hotel they have chosen. Reservations are made on a first-come first-served basis.

Brussels Airport

Brussels International Airport is located in the Zaventem area, 14 km outside the city centre.

From Brussels Airport to the City

  • STIB Airport line – Bus 12 (express bus): A bus links the Centre and Brussels National Airport. Please note that after 20:00 and at week-ends, the bus to/from the airport becomes number 21.

  • Train: This links the city and the airport. The journey lasts about 30 minutes. With frequent connections, the first train departs at 05:32 and the last train at 00:20. Tickets can be purchased at the station.

From the City to the Airport

Trains can be taken from the following stations: 

  • North Station (known as Gare du Nord/Noord station) 
  • Central Station (known as Gare Centrale/Centraal station) 
  • South Station (known as Gare du Midi/Zuid station)

Brussels South Airport (Charleroi)

Situated to the south of Brussels, approximately 60 km away, Brussels-South Charleroi Airport mainly houses low-cost airlines.

From Brussels South Airport to the centre of Brussels

  • By bus: A bus links Charleroi Brussels-South and the Gare du Midi railway station in Brussels more than 20 times a day. The timetables are organised to coincide with Ryanair airline flights and shuttle buses depart 30 minutes after the Ryanair airline flight arrives at the airport.   • By train: A bus route (route A) permanently links the Charleroi Brussels-South airport with Charleroi railway station. You can then take the train very easily to Brussels. (Combined ticket  €10) 
  • By car: It takes around 45 minutes to drive from the airport to the centre of Brussels by car via the A54.

From the centre of Brussels to Brussels South Airport

  • By bus: The shuttle departure point is situated at the junction of rue de France and rue de l'Instruction (follow "Thalys" exit at the Gare du Midi station). 
  • By taxi: Estimate around  €85, if you are considering taking a taxi from Brussels to Charleroi airport.

Train Stations

Trains are operated by SNCB/NMBS. There are five main stations serving the Brussels-Capital Region, all interlinked.

  • Central Station

    Address: Rue de France 2 - 1070 
    From this station, you may catch trains going/coming from London (with Eurostar), from Paris (with Thalys) amongst others.
  • North Station  
    Address: Rue du Progrès 85 - 1210 
    Trains coming/going to Amsterdam
  • Luxembourg Station 
    Address: Place du Luxembourg - 1040 
    Trains coming/going to Luxembourg as well as other parts of the country.

Getting to the Venue

The Venue is located in the Rue Ducale, 1000 Brussels.

From Brussels International Airport (Zaventem):

  • By taxi: Price: ~€35 (20-30 minutes) 
    By train: 20-30 minutes - Up to 4 trains an hour to Brussels.  Get off at Central Station/Gare Centrale. It is only a 10-minute walk. It is also possible to take the metro.
  • By metro: Metro station Trône/Troon 
    • From Central Station: line 1 or 5 to Arts-Lois/Kunst-Wet, then line 2 or 6.
    • From North Station: metro Rogier, line 2 or 6 direction Roi Baudouin/Koning Boudewijn or Simonis (Leopold II).
    • From South Station: line 2 or 6 direction Simonis (Elisabeth)

From Train Station “Midi/Zuid” (Eurostar/TGV/Thalys):

  • By metro: Line 2, direction SIMONIS (ELISABETH). Stop at Trône/Troon.
  • By bus: Go to the bus stop “Gare du Midi” (located Rue d’Angletterre). 15 minutes - Bus 27 towards "Andromède". Get off at Trône/Troon. 5 minutes walk to the venue.
