MAUNIMO Project Final Dissemination Conference

Hosted by the University of Oslo, Norway
      4-5 September 2012

(c) Francesco Saggio, UiOThe event is the culmination of a two-year project that piloted a mobility self-evaluation tool, the Mobility Mapping Tool (MMT), with 30 European universities and assessed both the impact of the tool and the prospects of launching it more widely as a university service.

Aim of the conference

The main conference objective is to promote the recommendations and policy messages of the project regarding strategic institutional approaches to learning mobility. The conference will:

  • present various testimonials of the participating universities who have utilised the MMT for diverse reasons: for example, launching a review of their internationalisation strategies, promoting student and staff mobility, and assessing awareness of current institutional strategies pertaining to mobility;
  • look at the latest European-level policy developments with regard to mobility and how they affect universities, including the Bologna Process mobility targets;
  • examine data collected on mobility in universities, and discuss possibilities to enhance and coordinate it; and
  • debate the impact of the proposed EU funding schemes for mobility, including Erasmus for All and Horizon 2020.

Conference Schedule

The focussed two-day seminar aims to achieve its objective through a combination of presentations and break-out discussions. An up-to-date programme can be downloaded here and is also available at www.maunimo.be.

Target Audience

The intention is to bring together higher education professionals who have an interest in mobility, whether at national, institutional or European level, including university leaders, international officers, students, policy makers and researchers.
