General transportation information

Public transportation

Barcelona has an efficient public transport system and it is easy to move around using the metro, bus and tram. The T10 ticket is a transport card which can be purchased at the entrance to any metro station. A T10 ticket entitles you to 10 journeys on the metro, buses, tram and even Zone 1 train area. Buying individual tickets for each journey is not economical or time-effective. More information can be found on the TMB website.

Taxi services in the city centre

Taxis are an affordable alternative to public transport. A 15-minute journey will only cost about 10 euro. Licensed taxis have to charge you the amount displayed on the metre. However, if you are carrying extra luggage there may be a small surcharge. Rates will be displayed inside the cab. More information can be found on the taxi Barcelona website.
