The 2016 Science|Business Horizon 2020 Conference, 16 February 2016, Brussels (Belgium)

03 December 2015

Registrations are open for the 4th edition of the Science|Business Horizon 2020 Conference in Brussels. Next year marks a turning point for Horizon 2020, the world’s second largest civilian research programme.

After a strong start in 2014 with an increase in funding and a surge in applications, the 77 billion Euro programme is beset with questions about its future:  Will its overall, annual budget be cut in this year’s EU funding review? How will it allocate the remaining budget? And is it, in fact, having any impact on the innovation landscape in Europe?

Different stakeholders for the Horizon 2020 programme are expected to be part of this dialogue at the event. Among the guests at the conference will be Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Robert-Jan Smits, Director-General, DG for Research and Innovation and Jean-Claude Burgelman, Head of Unit, Science Policy and Foresight, DG RTD. The conference programme and further information is available on the event website.
