Survey on the role of Higher Education to foster sustainable development

03 May 2017

The University of Siena, an EUA member, has recently launched a survey on “The role of Higher Education to foster sustainable development.” The survey is open to various stakeholders (universities, research institutions, NGOs, etc.) involved in education for sustainability.

The questionnaire is aimed at highlighting the main characteristics and criticalities of courses on sustainable development currently being offered by universities and other institutions at national and international levels. Particular attention is given to the issues faced, the approaches and teaching methods used, as well as the targets for various courses.

The survey aims to identify best practices and innovations in the field, as well as the difficulties encountered by various institutions in structuring their activities. The results of the survey will be presented at the G7 “University – Education for all,” event taking place from 29 to 30 June 2017 in Udine (Italy).

The deadline for the survey is 15 May 2017 and it is available in English, French, Spanish and Italian. For further details, contact the university at
