Mapping the implementation and application of the ESGs in the EHEA - Launch conference, Copenhagen, Denmark (17 January 2012)

14 December 2011

The E4 Group of higher education stakeholders (EUA, ENQA, ESU and EURASHE), has been carrying out a project to map the application and implementation of the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (ESGs) in the European Higher Education Area. The findings of this work will be presented at a one-day conference in Denmark on 17 January 2012.

In October, the project steering group published a draft report for public consultation which analysed whether the ESGs still “meet the current challenges of higher education”, and if they need updating or revising. Following this consultation, the launch conference will be an opportunity to present the findings and discuss the recommendations that will be made to the Bologna Process Ministerial Conference 2012 (taking place in April 2012 in Romania) on further development of the ESGs.

This conference is organised by ENQA, in collaboration with the EUA, EURASHE and ESU. It is expected to gather members of the Bologna Follow-Up Group, representatives of ministries, national rectors' conferences, student organisations, quality assurance agencies, employers, and higher education institutions.

The deadline for registration is 9 January 2012 or until the conference is fully booked
