Deadline approaching: Call for Presentations for EUA Annual Conference 2016

05 November 2015

EUA’s Annual Conference 2016 on the theme “Bricks and clicks for Europe: building a successful digital campus” will take place on 7-8 April 2016 at the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG). In the framework of the conference, EUA has launched a Call for Presentations for three Working Group sessions.

NUI_Quadrangle_copyright NUI Galway_resizedDigitalisation is having a major impact on the ways universities conduct research, provide teaching and relate to their community. The EUA Annual Conference 2016 will explore how Europe’s universities are developing strategies to successfully integrate the development of physical and IT infrastructures (“bricks and clicks”), and how they are tackling the challenges involved in becoming more interactive and interconnected.

EUA invites proposals for presentations containing concrete, hands-on analyses of institutional case studies for digitalisation. Proposals should preferably relate to overall institutional strategies and take into account the changes for the campus and the communities of the university (students, researchers, administration and management), focusing on three thematic areas: (1) learning and teaching, (2) research and open science, and (3) outreach to society. Presentations should last no more than 15 minutes, and should aim to stimulate debate and share good practices.

For more information on how to submit a proposal and on the eligibility conditions, please click here to download the call. Deadline for abstracts is Friday, 27 November 2015. Please note that this call is only open to EUA member institutions.
