EUA member consultation – Have your say on Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+

14 January 2016

EUA is launching a member consultation ahead of the mid-term review of the present generation of the EU funding programmes Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+.

EUA_Graphic_Member ConsultationThe European Commission is expected to initiate official consultations on the programmes in 2017. As universities are key stakeholders and beneficiaries, EUA wants to make sure that their experiences are taken into consideration. Therefore the association is launching a member consultation done via questionnaire on the issue well before the official start of the mid-term review.

This will allow EUA to process the data and analyse outcomes in time to fully participate in the discussions expected during 2016, also given that the Commission services have already initiated a series of activities in order to shape the debate. The outcome will feed into the first preparations of the next generation of funding programmes post-2020. The EUA member consultation is a major opportunity for European universities to give direct feedback on the pressing issues in both programmes. The questionnaires address all stages of the project cycle, including proposal submission and evaluation, grant management, financial aspects etc.

The consultation is done via two online questionnaires on Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+ respectively. The questionnaires include both technical as well as strategic questions and focus on three dimensions: simplification, improvement and sustainability. The questionnaires and background information are available here

The EUA consultation will be open for submissions until Monday, 29 February 2016.
