Dates for the diary: upcoming EUA events

EUA is planning several events for the coming months. Here is a rundown of what to expect.

The Third Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education (AECHE) will be held at the University of Barcelona in Spain from 25 to 27 May. The title of this event is “Opportunities and Challenges for Arab and European universities in fulfilling their societal mission”.

Under the EQUIP project, EUA and its partners will continue their series of workshops on how to meet the expectations laid out by the 2015 version of the ESG. The next, and final, event will be held in Lisbon, Portugal from 6 to 7 June. 

The 9th EUA-CDE Annual meeting will be held from 16 to 17 June at the Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona, Spain. This year’s theme is “Doctoral Education: a dilemma of quality and quantity?” Registration is open until 3 June.

The 3rd EUA Funding Forum, entitled “Efficient universities: Value for society”, will be held at the University of Porto in Portugal from 6 to 7 October. 

The 2nd and 3rd UNI-SET Energy Clustering Events (ECE) will take place in the second half of 2016. The next ECE will be held from 26 to 28 September at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy. The third ECE will be held from 21 to 23 November at the University Politehnica of Bucharest in Romania. 

The 11th European Quality Assurance Forum will be hosted by the Slovenian Student Union and the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia from 17 to 19 November. The title of this event is “Quality in context – embedding improvement”.

Finally, EUA will hold a webinar on “Performance-based funding of Universities” on 25 May. EUA’s webinar series, which was launched last year, will continue in September 2016. The webinars will take place on the last Wednesday of each month.
