The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) is currently looking for a suitable person to serve as president from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2020.
EQAR is the independent non-profit organisation managing the register of quality assurance agencies operating in compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). EQAR serves the public interest by providing reliable information about legitimate quality assurance agencies in Europe and is governed jointly by European governments and stakeholder organisations, including EUA.
On the basis of a nomination by a selection committee, the president will be elected by the EQAR General Assembly, comprising European stakeholder organisations and currently 38 European governments, represented by their ministries responsible for higher education.
The call for candidates, which explains the nature of the position and the selection criteria, is available on the EQAR website. The deadline for applications is 7 March 2017. Any further information requests may be addressed to the chair of the selection committee whose contact information is indicated in the call.
