09 February 2017
On 24 January 2017, Ghent University hosted a meeting with members of the European Parliament, the European Commission and representatives of European university and research networks, including EUA, to present its recommendations for social sciences and humanities with a view to the mid-term review of Horizon 2020 and its successor programme.
The University’s position paper
, presented at the meeting held in Ghent, argues, inter alia
, for the creation of a social sciences and humanities platform to provide input for defining societal challenges and for activities in scoping papers and work programmes. It also pleads to raise the dedicated budget for social sciences and humanities in the next framework programme.
