EUA focus group on diversity and inclusiveness – applications are open!

13 July 2017

EUA is organising a focus group on universities’ approaches towards diversity and inclusiveness and invites university practitioners from across Europe who have experience with the topic to reply to the call for expressions of interest.

The event will be hosted by the University Lille 3 – Social Science and Humanities on 24 November 2017 in Lille, France.

As our societies change and become more diverse, universities are asked to be more open and inclusive, finding new ways to enable everyone who wants to participate, including students or staff who are traditionally less represented. This imperative for broader participation opens up discussions on the social responsibility of universities and points towards a number of strategic and practical questions for institutions about how to deal with issues of diversity, inclusion, equity and access.

Depending on the national and cultural context, measures may include institutional strategies for diversity management, policies for equal opportunities, social innovation or widening participation of underrepresented groups. With the focus group, EUA wants to give interested members the opportunity for open exchange and peer learning, thus facilitating a European dialogue on the topic.

Apply online to express your interest for the focus group.

The deadline for applications is 15 September 2017, but we encourage you to apply early.
