New European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform is now live

23 November 2017

In March 2017, the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) introduced a joint European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP). The Platform’s 24-member coordination group has now been chosen and the list of participants published on the newly launched website.

For a European circular economy to become reality, all stakeholders need to become involved: public authorities, businesses, trade unions, civil society and many more. To speed up the process of making the circular economy a reality, the EESC called for the creation of a European Circular Economy Platform. The Platform brings these actors together to share their solutions and team up to address specific challenges, while linking existing initiatives, and advocating the circular economy at national, regional and local levels.

Today, stakeholders can search the Platform for best practices, find related contacts and submit their own good practices. The knowledge database will further expand with more studies, reports and strategies.
