The EU-Asia Higher Education Platform (EAHEP), a European Union sponsored initiative to promote cooperation in higher education between Asian and European countries, is currently being implemented by the EUA with consortium partners DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and Nuffic (Netherlands Organisation for International Cooperation in Higher Education).

Launched in 1994 as a strategic tool for change in higher education institutions, EUA’s Institutional Evaluation Programme (IEP) has been designed to ensure that higher education institutions gain maximum benefit from a comprehensive evaluation conducted by a team that comprises experienced European higher education leaders and a student. The evaluations support participating institutions in the continuing development of their strategic management and internal quality culture.

EUA and its partners, HUMANE and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education (LFHE) recently announced the launch of a new series of strategy workshops designed for leaders and managers of European universities: “Building Productive Relationships in a New Stakeholder Environment”.

EUA has been invited to complete an audit of the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, ARACIS, that was established in 2005 to take forward in a European context the work begun by a predecessor body over the previous decade.

EUA organised three sessions at last week's European Association for International Education (EAIE) conference in Antwerp, Belgium.

After the success of the Bologna Handbook, EUA has teamed up with the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) and Raabe Academic publishers to develop a Handbook on internationalisation.
