West-coast of Ireland hosting EUA Annual Conference: Register early bird now!

NUI GalwayEUA is pleased to announce that registration is still open for the Annual Conference 2016 that will take place at the National University of Ireland (NUI) in Galway from 7 to 8 April 2016. Please register by 1 March 2016 to benefit from the early bird reduced fee. The overall deadline for registration is 20 March 2016.

The Annual Conference 2016 “Bricks and clicks for Europe: building a successful digital campus” will focus on how Europe’s universities are developing comprehensive “bricks and clicks” strategies and how they are tackling the challenges involved in becoming more interactive and interconnected. The conference sessions will explore:

  • digital technologies and their impact;
  • fostering innovation and managing change in learning and teaching;
  • how digitalisation can be further promoted at institutional, national and European level.

Interactive parallel sessions will feature hands-on explorations of institutional case studies on digitalisation in learning and teaching, research and open science, outreach to society and Galway as a digital university. In addition, a Hot Topic session will address university mergers in Europe.

Confirmed speakers include the President of Ireland, Michael Higgins, along with high-level university and student representatives and voices from research and business. EUA members are also encouraged to attend the EUA General Assembly prior to the main conference.

Galway is known as Ireland's “Cultural Heart” and boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. It is located on the west-coast and is famous for its cobblestoned streets, quaint shops and charming restaurants. EUA is very pleased with this setting, especially because Galway is home to NUI, a digital university and a perfect location considering the conference theme.

For more information on Galway and to register, please visit the conference website.
