EUA is coordinating a project called EUIMA (European Universities Implementing their Modernisation Agenda) which addresses two main elements of the modernisation agenda for European Universities:
i) The sustainability of university funding, financial management and development of full costing (EUIMA-Full Costing)
ii) The transparency and appropriateness of measurement tools for the assessment of university-based research reflecting the diversity of university missions (EUIMA-Collaborative Research).
A third transversal focus running through the project aims at identifying requirements for further development of human resources and management in universities.
The project will provide support for mutual learning, exchange of information and draw on empirical evidence from several projects that have been undertaken by EUA and European partners.
Through a series of case studies, workshops and study visits held at different universities across Europe, aimed at university leaders and management, government and regional authorities, business communities, non-governmental and other funding bodies, the project intends to promote good practices and support universities in implementing the modernisation agenda with regards to sustainable funding and collaborative research.
